Nets traded rookie Derrick Favors and point guard Devin Harris for Deron Williams tonight. Well, he certainly resolved his frustrations quickly. I can imagine things going sour when Carlos Boozer got traded to the Bulls, not to mention putting up with a hard-ass coach on the brink of retirement. It was time.
Sure, the Nets are 17-40 right now, but the future is for building. I mean, you can’t have enough Deron Williams. GM Billy King definitely made a valid point in acquiring Williams — winning championships usually revolves around a great point guard.
I’m really intrigued to see how this trade pans out.
