Sure, the Celtics lost by six last night, but it still isn’t enough to overshadow the greatness Ray Allen accomplished in his 15-year career: the NBA’s All-Time Three-Point Champion.
It’s a nice ring to it. What an awesome dude. His mom, Flo, is even awesomer, who is a marathon runner who never runs out of gas when she’s cheering on her son at his games.
The man is a beast at being meticulous. Boston Globe reported, “[Allen’s] pregame ritual does not waver: a nap from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., a meal of chicken and white rice at 2:30, an arrival time at the gym at precisely 3:45 to stretch. Allen will shave his head, then walk out to the court at exactly 4:30. He will methodically take shots from both baselines, both elbows, and the top of the key.”
If there’s anything I’d love to advocate for the NBA, it’s getting more Ray Allens to play in the league. He’s having his worst season at the stripe with 86 percent. That’s his worst. Are you kidding me?
Needless to say, I am very happy to see Ray Allen seeing his hard work — extremely hard work — pay off. Just get one more ring, Allen. I know you and the rest of your teammates can do it.
